To create a fun and safe environment to teach our kids how to relax, let go and express themselves through performance. The main focus of our course is Acting for Stage. In 2017 we enjoyed putting on performances for the community including an Easter Show, The Easter Bunny who Overslept and a Christmas Carols (with a twist) show Have a Very Pt Chevy Christmas. In 2018 we performed There was an Old Lady who Swallowed an Egg in Point Chevalier Square, The Day The Crayons Quit at Point Chevalier Library and Selwyn Village and Where The Wild Things Are at Coyle Park.We are exited to announce in 2019 under the guidance of Acacia we will kick off the year with a devised musical performance adapted from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Our Acting for Screen workshops in 2018 were bigger and better with three classes taking part. Several students were invited to audition for professional Film and Television work which saw two of our students being cast in roles on Shortland Street! Point Chevalier has Talent! Tutors for screen in 2018 included Matt Dwyer from Barefoot Casting and Andrea Kelland from Shortland Street. We look forward to discovering more talented Films and Television stars in 2019.

We also provide private sessions with children for auditions, confidence building or just fun!
